  1. Supplemental (Non-Vacancy Specific Recruitment Activities Undertaken by WASK-AM, WASK-FM and WKOA-FM)

Over the year, WASK, Inc. (WASK-AM/FM, WKOA-FM) has been involved in a number of initiatives designed to reach the broadest spectrum of the community for potential employment. While utilizing our facilities when we can, we have also gone beyond our walls in order to maximize that outreach, and it is a continuing process. Here are some of the programs and initiatives in which we have been involved:

1. In July, 2005 WASK, Inc. took part in an Employment Opportunity Fair that was part of the Indiana Black Expo in Indianapolis, Indiana. This was a full-day job fair attended by hundreds of job seekers. EEO Officer Eric Burch attended the fair.

2. In August, 2005 WASK, Inc. participated in a Career Day/Job Fair sponsored by Ivy Tech State College. It was a half-day program held on the Ivy Tech campus in Lafayette. EEO Officer Eric Burch attended.

3. In February, 2006 WASK, Inc. participated in a Broadcaster Job Fair held at the Sheraton Hotel in Indianapolis. A panel discussion regarding careers in broadcasting was held prior to the opening of the fair.

4. On a continuing basis over the past four years, WASK, Inc. has maintained an internal internship program in a number of departments. This internship program is opened to both High School and College students. It is listed with a variety of school programs including Purdue University, Wabash College and Ball State University. There is current one student in the internal program, being shared between Marketing and News.

5. WASK, Inc. is a participant in the Indiana Broadcasters Association Scholarship program. This program provides scholarships to Indiana institutions to students interested in a career in broadcasting.

6. At various time through the past year, we have used our airwaves and website as an outreach vehicle. We have run announcements seeking to add to our list of resource groups and organizations that have ties to a diverse community, in order that we may contact them when we have an employment opportunity.
