Oh, My! (May 14, 2008)

The past few weeks have been trying. So much to do and so little time to do it in. I did get the grill gassed up. And the lawn has been cut a few times.

The big project was having a hugh tree in the front yard cut down and carted away. I am still dealing with wood chips.  Maybe a blowtorch would help!

Had a professional come in and plant new plants across the front of our house. Yes, I could have done it myself. No, l could not have because of time constraints. Anyway, it looks great for the first time in too many years.

As one of five trustees, our church building and grounds are our responsibility. Last week seven new plants were put in place around our sign near the road.

Our next project is leveling out the land near our building’s entrance. It probably never got the attention it needed after construction was completed. We’ll have to bring in several loads of topsoil for various locations around the grounds.

It’s a great feeling working on your church grounds. So many people take pride in what we have and when you can make it look a little better…their smiles are a little wider.

Best Wishes,

Skip Davis
