Hunter Hayes is experiencing a week he will never forget, as he is making media rounds leading up to the 55th Annual Grammy Awards. Hunter and Taylor Swift are the top country nominees, as he is up for Best New Artist, Best Country Solo Performance and Best Country Album. Hunter cannot even fathom what he would do if his name is called, especially for one category in particular.
“I would have to build a new shelf to make it look that cool because it is a Grammy – I don’t have any shelves cool enough for a Grammy. My Gosh, I can’t even think about it – it makes me nervous! I can’t even anticipate anything. All I know is that I’m going, and I’m stoked to be nominated – especially the New Artist nominee – being all genres being the country artists kind of waving the country flag for what I love.”
Hunter will perform on ABC’s The View at 11AM Eastern today (2/7), and will also sing on NBC’s The Tonight Show with Jay Leno at 11:35PM Eastern, on Friday (2/8). The Grammy Awards will air live on Sunday (2/10), at 8PM Eastern on CBS.
