Keith Urban Caught In Middle Of AI Diva Duel

It’s the battle of diva judges on American Idol…and we’re not talking about Keith Urban. The new season of Idol hasn’t even hit the airwaves yet, but catfights between judges Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey are already making headlines everywhere. TMZ obtained footage from Idol ’s recent audition stop in Charlotte, North Carolina showing the back-and-forth screaming match between the rapper and pop singer. Country’s own Keith Urban is positioned between the two, staying mum the whole time. Reportedly, head honchos ended Charlotte auditions early following the blow up. They’re worried the two won’t be able to co-exist for the long haul. American Idol returns to FOX January of 2013.  See the footage here.
