Harry discovers his wizard lineage and legendary status as the only one to survive a direct attack by "He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named." Harry leaves his dense aunt and uncle Dursley behind and heads to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, where he forms lifelong friendships with Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger and a bitter rivalry with Draco Malfoy. In between mastering Quidditch and getting into all kinds of mischief, Harry, Ron and Hermione thwart an attempt by Lord Voldemort to resurrect himself into human form by using the Sorcerer's Stone.
