For those of you who have a hard time getting to the polls on Election Day, curbside voting may be something to consider.

Curbside voting isn't a new concept, but it is a convenient one.  People who can't stand for long periods of time, people who use oxygen or have other handicaps/disabilities can take advantage of this option.

An election worker will walk out the voting machine to your car.  However, you have to have someone with you that can take your voter ID inside and alert someone that you'd like to vote curbside.

This form of voting is technically considered absentee voting.

"(Voters) can do (this) now through November 3rd, which is a Saturday, in their local voter registrars office during normal business hours," says Nikki Sheridan with the Virginia State Board of Elections.

Be sure to check with your registrar because not all localities offer this option.
