This year, Kenny Chesney’s hit “Come Over,” managed to go Gold in just nine weeks of its release, for selling over 500,000 copies. The song is Kenny’s fastest rising single of his career, and the singer couldn’t be happier that he released the song as a single.

“When you get to a point in your career that I am, you have to search for melodies that are just different. You just do. So I think that it was a perfect song for me, and it’s a song that I needed at this point in my career, and it was an incredible way to kick off the record, I think production-wise and emotionally ’cause it does set a tone.”

Kenny will be hitting the road next year with his No Shoes Nation Tour, which features special guests Eric Church, Eli Young Band and Kacey Musgraves. The Eli Young Band and Kacey recently did a special rendition of “Come Over” for Kenny, at this year’s CMT Artists of the Year. Watch it now on CMT.com.
