Mindy McCready Found Dead At Age 37

The body of 37-year-old country singer Mindy McCready was found in Heber Springs, Arkansas. Sheriff deputies in the Arkansas town confirmed the news toNBC, saying she died of a single self-inflicted gunshot wound. The news comes just a little more than a month after her life partner and father of her youngest child, David Wilson, died of an unconfirmed cause. A few weeks later, her children were removed from her home while she was committed to a treatment facility for alcohol abuse and to receive a mental evaluation. She was released from that facility one week ago. Mindy scored a #1 hit in 1996 with her second single, “Guys Do It All The Time.” Top 10 hits included “Ten Thousand Angels” and “A Girl’s Gotta Do (What a Girl’s Gotta Do).” Mindy is survived by two sons, six-year-old Zander and 9-month-old Zayne.
