Trace Adkins has a new title to add to his resume, as he will serve as the spokesperson for the 2012 American Red Cross Holiday Giving Campaign. He is encouraging people to look beyond material gifts this holiday season, and instead give charitable donations, sending cards for military heroes or donating blood. The singer is supporting the Red Cross from personal experience, as they were one of the first on-site after his Tennessee home was destroyed. He feels like they “were fortunate because they only lost things that can be replaced – but that’s not the case for every victim of disaster.” Trace recently recorded several PSAs for the campaign which will also include his new song, “Tough People Do.” For more information visit www.redcross.org.
