Hunger Hike 2011 |
An annual event to help feed the hungry

- 12:30-1:30 pm Registration at Riehle Plaza, downtown Lafayette.
Door prizes. Live music by Rat Pak Mobile DJ's. - 2:00 pm 2-mile hike begins on the Wabash Heritage Trail.
5K run - $10 registration fee for run. - 3:00 pm Awards, more door prizes, Wiley Hall DJ, balloons, hot dogs!

- Collect sponsors and donations. Bring the money with you on the day of the hike.
- Create your own personal fundraising page.
- Make a donation to the hike! Give your donation to a hiker or give online.
- Shop at businesses that support Hunger Hike and tell them why!
- Organize a group of friends, family, or co-workers and participate as a group!
Here's everything you need to get started. Just select and print out a registration form and collection envelope in PDF format, and you're ready to start collecting donations!
- Hunger Hike 2011 Brochure (Registration Form included) for 8.5"x14" paper Requires legal-size paper, landscape setting. (Note: this is a low-res version for easy downloading.)
- Hunger Hike Collection Envelope (print onto letter-size sheet and paste onto envelope of your choice)
- Poster! Here's a poster you can print out and post at work, school, or church.
How to form a team for hikers (for online teams, see below)
- Print out registration forms (see above or pick up at LUM or ask to have them mailed to you)
- Have each person on your team fill out a registration form and list the team name.
- Team members collect sponsors and donations for Hunger Hike.
Note: Forming a team is optional. You may participate as an individual, family, or as a member of a team!
Create your own personal fundraising webpage or form an online team!
Send your fundraising page to friends and relatives by e-mail. They can make online donations and your page will automatically keep track of how much you've raised.
To get started, just click on the computer, then follow the directions. Click "Get Started" and select "Hunger Hike 2010." Then, you must register as an individual. When you are done registering, you will be asked if you want to create a fundraising page and if you are part of a team or if you want to add a team. To add a new team, just enter the team name. (Being on a team is optional. If you are on a team, each member of the team can have their own personal fundraising page.)
